101 WKQX TNWSC 4 – Highly Suspect

Alternative rock trio Highly Suspect opened the fourth and final night of 101WKQX‘s The Nights We Stole Christmas this past Sunday night, at the Aragon Ballroom. Drummer Ryan Meyer and his brother bassist Rich Meyer make up the band, along with their long-time friend, guitarist, and lead vocalist Johnny Stevens. The three best friends began the band in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, before relocating to Brooklyn, New York. After signing with 300 Entertainment, the threesome released a handful of EPs and toured North America, playing SXSW, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza. This year Highly Suspect released their debut album Mister Asylum, which just received two Grammy nominations for Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song field for “Lydia.” The band has long had a great rapport with Chicago’s #1 alternative radio station. They recently played two sold-out 101WKQX shows at Lincoln Hall with The Struts, who also played a TNWSC show. Highly Suspect rocked out with their crew on the massive Aragon stage, smoking, drinking, dancing and jumping around, and in turn, fans rocked out with them, singing along to “Lydia,” “Bath Salts,” and “F**k Me Up.”

Keep up with Highly Suspect by following them on Instagram and Twitter. A full list of Highly Suspect tour dates can be found on the Highly Suspect Facebook page.
