Ted Nugent at Arcada Theatre

With the entire background of the stage filled with one huge US Flag, Ted Nugent appeared on the smoke filled stage facing the flag and began his rockin’ rendition of John Stafford Smith’s, “The National Anthem.” From that moment, the fans were on their feet ready for a kick ass rock and roll show. The Nuge did not disappoint!

Ted Nugent brought the Sonic Baptizm Tour to Chicago’s northwest suburb of Saint Charles, IL. For two nights (July 28 and August 3, 2016), the historic Arcada Theater, hosted the Motor City Madman. Front Row Music News was there for the July 28th show, which was sold out with nearly 900 enthusiastic Ted Nugent fans. Actually, Nugent informed the audience that over the years, since he started performing sock hops in 1955 until that night, he had performed 6535th concerts! Like he said, it’s hard to believe that in 2016, Ted Nugent is still rockin’ and rollin’. No matter what your political opinion, Ted Nugent has kicked rock n roll ass for many, many decades. Along with Ted Nugent for the tour are legendary bassist and vocalist Greg Smith on bass; and ballistic drummer Jason Hartless.
