Welcome To Rockville 2018 – Day 3

Welcome To Rockville – Metropolitan Park, Jacksonville, Florida.

Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3

If anyone missed Welcome To Rockville this year, you missed a great lineup and three awesome days of continuous music!! With so many amazing artists performing on three stages each day, we set each day with a separate write-up.  Each day’s write-up, contains links to the galleries. Unfortunately, all the bands on three stages couldn’t be covered by just one person, but I my best to cover as many as I could.

Here are the ones I caught from Day 3.

Well Day 3 was another hot day out there and to kick it off was The Bronx.  The Bronx is a hardcore punk band from Los Angeles and was started in 2002 from help from Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke.  This was an incredible act.  They played songs such as Sore Throat, Two Birds, and Around The Horn.  You should definitely check them out.

The Sword was the next group that started up in 2003 in Austin, Texas and has a unique sound that is worth the listen.  They played Seven Sisters, Twighlight Sunrise, Sea Of Green, and more.

The Fever 333 is an awesome upbeat rap-rock band from Los Angeles with political lyrics similar to Rage Against the Machine.  They were the talk of the whole day playing songs such as Burn It, Animal, and Hunting Season.  This is definitely a band that you will not want to miss in the future and they will have you hooked the first time seeing them.

Greta Van Fleet is another new band from Frankenmuth, Michigan consisting of three brothers and a childhood friend.  GVF has the sound of Led Zeppelin and the ’70s style rock.  Some songs consisted of Edge of Darkness, Flower Power, and Safari Song.  Don’t miss this group when they come around

Thrice was formed in 1998 in California as an alternative group consisting of childhood friends.    They played there famous song Black Honey and others such as Silhouette, Blood On The Sand, and The Earth Will Shake.

Bullet For My Valentine is a group that I was wanting to hear all day and they did not disappoint at all.  BFMV is a rock/metal group from Bridgend, South Wales.  There performance didn’t slow down at all while they were playing and they played songs such as Over It, Your Betrayal, and Tears Don’t Fall.  Definitely will see this band again.

Clutch is a rock group that was formed in 1991 with sounds of metal, rock, and funk.  They played songs as X-ray Vision, Gimme The Keys, and Electric Worry.

Billy Idol was next and did an awesome job.  Billy Idol is from England and started his career in the early 1980’s and was one of the first pop/rock artists to have success.  He played songs such as Dancing With Myself, Scream, Rebel Yell and finished with White Wedding.

Queens Of the Stone Age is a rock band that started in 1997 from Palm Desert, CA.  They played many of there songs and songs such as Sick, Sick, Sick, Smooth Sailing, and Go With the Flow.

The group that finished off the night and the whole festival was Foo Fighters.  Foo Fighters was formed by Dave Grohl in Seattle, WA in 1995 after being Nirvanas drummer.  This groups energy was amazing right from the start and didn’t stop for two hours playing deep into the night.  The crowd didn’t slow down at all either and wanted more at the end.  They played all there big hits combined with some new songs.  They played My Hero, Monkey Wrench, The Sky Is a Neighborhood, and many more.  Foo Fighters definitely didn’t disappoint a single fan that night.
