10 Awesome Reasons to Attend Lakeshake

Over the weekend of June 23-25, 2017, the third annual Country LakeShake Festival took place at Huntington Bank Pavilion on Northerly Island in Chicago. The scenic Lake Michigan shores once again hosted the three-day festival.  With two stages, a Main Stage and a Next from Nashville Stage, country music was going all day long.  Featured headline artists for 2017 included Thomas Rhett, Miranda Lambert and Rascal Flatts. Front Row Music News was there to cover Days 1 & 2.

What made this years Lakeshake such a success?  Well, here are 10 Amazing reasons why!

  1. Country Fans: Some with cowboy hats, others with flannel shirts, white t-shirts, boots, Chicago is definitely a country town and the fans were out in force for a Country weekend in Chicago.
  2. Photo Opportunities / Selfies: Whether taking selfies in the crowd or at the vendor booths, the photo opportunities were everywhere. 
  3. Perfect Weather: Three days of some of the best weather in Chicago for an outdoor festival.
  4. Fun: swings, yard games, hammocks made extra fun for everyone .
  5. Friends: Whether longtime friends or someone you just met, it’s hard not to be friends when your country fans.
  6. Headliners:  You can’t get much better than headline artist like Thomas Rhett, Miranda Lambert and Rascal Flatts
  7. Opry stage in the US99 zone: Pop-up concerts by artists from both the Main stage as well as the Next from 
  8. Three days of country music: With 30+ artists, there’s no shortage of live music.
  9. Two stages of music: Main Stage
  10. Chicago’s Lakefront/Skyline: the beautiful lakefront and skyline setting made the right scenic setting for the festival.
