almost monday: DIVE Tour in Milwaukee 2025
The Show
On the chilly evening of January 29th, people funneled into the Vivarium in downtown Milwaukee for an evening of summer vibes and music. San Diego’s almost monday, with support from Adrian Lyles, brought the perfect warm escape from cold Milwaukee on their tour stop.
Adrian Lyles
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Adrian Lyles got his start on High School Musical: The Musical (The Series) as Jet. After the show ended, Adrian Lyles began an independent music career. He released his first single, “Formalize Me,” in September of last year and continues to put out new music. Adrian Lyles’ opening set was refreshing and an absolute delight. The collective energy was magnetic. With that, plus Lyles’ raw talent, I can only imagine his musical career skyrocketing from here. He did a wonderful job engaging with the crowd and getting everyone hyped up for almost monday’s set.
almost monday
American indie-pop trio almost monday is based in San Diego, California. Dawson Daugherty (vocals), Cole Clisby (guitar), and Luke Fabry (bass) met while in high school and found that they shared love not only for the California sun but also for music. Since releasing their first single back in 2019, the group has continued to gain popularity in the alternative genre. Most notably, almost monday’s song “Can’t Slow Down” recently hit #1 on Alternative Radio, with three additional songs on the charts as well. 2025 proves to be an action-packed year for almost monday. They will continue their headlining tour both domestically and internationally, selling out a multitude of dates.
As almost monday entered the stage and began to play, it was as if everything in the Vivarium began to thaw. Inside the venue, it was no longer January in Milwaukee, Wisconsin—it was a beachy, California summer. Jumping in with the titular track “dive”, the trio got the crowd on their feet, dancing and singing along immediately. Daugherty, in particular, displayed a captivating and frenetic stage presence, bouncing around the space and dancing without a care in the world—while continuing to put on a flawless performance. Similar to Lyles, I think almost monday’s popularity will only continue to compound. They are the perfect upbeat soundtrack for a day at the beach. Or any day that you’d like to dream about being on one.
Conclusion
If this tour is making a stop in your city, it is a must-see. Grab yourself some tickets and check out these groups before they start selling out arenas and amphitheaters in the coming years!
