Architects at Baltimore Soundstage in Baltimore, MD
Popular British metalcore band, Architects, from Brighton, East Sussex are definitely a band that should be on your radar. The group was formed in 2004 and has been growing after every record they release. They are currently on their North American tour, where they just visited Baltimore, Maryland to play at the Baltimore Soundstage with extraordinary supporting acts, such as Stick to Your Guns and Counterparts. The band is made up of bassist Alex Dean, drummer Dan Searle, rhythm guitarist Adam Christianson, lead guitarist Josh Middleton and vocalist Sam Carter.
In May of 2016 Architects released their most recent album titled, All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us. This album was truly meaningful to everyone in the band because it revolved around the band’s former guitarist and brother of drummer Dan Searle; Tom Searle. Tom did the majority of the band’s songwriting which usually had similar messages about his battle with cancer. He unfortunately passed a couple months after the release of their album on August 20th, 2016. This was a hard year for the band but after seeing them live it is clear to see that they are extremely passionate about what they do and they are always performing in honor of Tom.
Architects took the stage and wowed the crowd with the performance of their single “A Match Made in Heaven” from their most recent album. During the show, vocalist Sam Carter discussed how there are many issues occurring in our world every day and that it is important for everyone to realize that we are all equal and should not judge one another. Carter also reminded everyone to tell their loved ones how they feel each day because you never know what can happen (in reference to Tom Searle). The band expressed how much of a charismatic and hilarious guy Tom was and everyone in the crowd chanted and cheered in the remembrance of such an amazing person. This was an energetic, emotional and heartfelt show for everyone in Architects.
Be sure to keep an eye out for any future tour dates so you can make sure that you see this incredible band live. You can follow them by visiting their website, ArchitectsOfficial.com, or checking out the Architects UK Facebook page.
