Badflower at House of Blues Chicago Brings 2026 Tour to a Familiar Stage

Badflower returned to House of Blues Chicago on February 22, 2026. Supporting the show were opening artists, Point North and Olive Vox. The stop is part of the band’s 2026 North American Tour.

This show carried a little history inside this room for me. Front Row Music News first covered Badflower here in February 2017 (Link here to post). Nine years later, the band walked onto the same stage. This time, as the headliner. The crowd was loud early. And the energy never dipped.

The Show

Olive Vox Opens the Night

Olive Vox started the evening with a focused set. Their sound leaned into modern alternative rock.
The early crowd responded quickly. They built momentum with tight arrangements and steady pacing.
And as the room filled, their energy rose with it.

Point North Keeps the Energy Moving

Next, Point North pushed the tempo forward. Their mix of alternative rock and pop-punk hit hard. The crowd reacted immediately. Their set felt sharp and confident. By the final song, the floor was fully engaged and jumping.

Badflower Brings Emotion to House of Blues Chicago 2026

Badflower opened with confidence. The first few songs hit hard and immediately pulled the crowd in. However, the night shifted during the middle of the set. Before playing “The Jester,” Josh Katz paused to speak. He talked about the pressure he once placed on himself. In the past, he chased perfection every night. Now, he said, the focus has changed. The band no longer plays to impress. Instead, they play to feel something with the audience. The crowd responded with steady applause. And the moment felt honest.

Later, before closing the main set, Josh joked about the cold outside. He suggested fans wanted a longer show to avoid the Chicago winter and he wasn’t wrong. The room laughed. “Ghost” closed the set with weight. Still, everyone expected more.

Encore Moments at Badflower House of Blues Chicago 2026

The band returned quickly for the encore and the energy picked up right where it left off. Before playing “London,” Josh called out a fan holding a sign. One side read, “I love Badflower.” The other asked for “London? You Promised Me!” He smiled and said they would take the request. Then he admitted it was already next on the setlist. The exchange felt light and natural. And the crowd cheered and sang along as the song began.

The night ended with “Swinging Hammer” which found Josh running out into the crowd, followed by him crowd surfing. The floor stayed loud until the final note.

Nine Years Later at House of Blues Chicago

In 2017, Badflower played this room as a rising band. In 2026, they controlled it with confidence. The venue remains the same. However, the connection feels deeper. This show was not about flawless execution. Instead, it was about shared experience. Badflower at House of Blues Chicago 2026 proved that growth does not always mean bigger production. Sometimes, it simply means stronger connection.
