DeeOhGee at Golden Dagger in Chicago 2022
On Thursday, August 11, 2022, Nashville based band, DeeOhGee, performed a special 2 set show at Golder Dagger (formerly The Tonic Room) in Chicago. Formerly touring under the name “Blackfoot Gypsies”, they have dropped the old name but kept the same spirit. A spirit arising from a life dedicated to Rock-n-Roll. The three-piece band consists of Matthew Paige (Vocals, Guitar), Zack Murphy (Drums, Vocals) and Dylan Whitlow (Bass, Vocals). Their sound is inspired by a combination of blues, classic country, and rock-n-roll. A sound that is a throwback to the psychedelic sounds of the ‘60’s and 70’s with hints of both rhythm & blues and bluegrass.
Their latest release, New Way of Life, is a collection of tunes “about how you adjust your way of looking at everything after you lose something or someone. You tend to cherish every detail of a day once someone is taken from you, says Matthew Paige. “This album is an honest reflection of where we are, a testimonial. A testimonial that happens to sound best at full volume.” So turn it on, turn it up. DeeOhGee is a loud explosion of authenticity and epic vibes.
