On May 21, 2021, the eight-piece funk-rock band of 5000 year-old Egyptian Mummies, known as Here Come the Mummies (HCTM), brought their “Terrifying Funk from Beyond the Grave” to the Chicago-area.

Scores of people in the area seemed to be affected by the curse on Friday night as they converged at Wintrust Field in Schaumburg, IL for socially distance performance by Here Come the Mummies. As if they appeared out of nowhere, HCTM parted the audience and paraded onto the stage. It looked like the the mummies curse caused rhythmic dancing as hips were swaying and teeth showing. Here Comes the Mummies funky beats and beautifully innuendoed songs truly woke the dead.

Regardless, HCTM’s mysterious personas, cunning song-craft, and unrelenting live show will bend your brain, and melt your face.
