On Monday, August 20, I went to see Lindsey Stirling with Evanescence opening up for her at the Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL.  Never seeing either group before, I really didn’t know what to expect especially with Lindsey Stirling being new to touring.  I was very excited to see Evanescence as I have followed this group since they first came out and with there hit single “Bring Me To Life”.   The Daily’s Place was a perfect place for this sold out concert and there really was not a bad seat at the venue.  Evanescence came out first with an Orchestra playing along with the band and it was just awesome as Amy sang and also played along on the piano many times throughout the night.  There set list was great and played all of the popular songs such as “Bring Me To Life”, “My Immortal”, and “Going Under”, and also played there new songs as well.

Lindsey Stirling was the second act of the night and she definitely did not disappoint.  Lindsey was very active from the start and didn’t slow down all night.  Lindsey played along with the same Orchestra as Evanescence did and the two together was amazing.  The high point of the night was the very ending as she put together a couple songs from “The Phantom Of The Opera” and made it her own which was amazing!!

The crowd was definitely was more of a calmer crowd than normal and sat down most of the night, which was expected.  I would definitely go see these two, Lindsey and Evanescence, again in a heartbeat, the concert was awesome and whatever you do, you need to stay for the whole concert or you will miss and awesome ending.
