Live and Stone Temple Pilots Jubilee Tour
On August 30, 2024, LIVE and Stone Temple Pilots, along with Soul Asylum, performed at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL. It was an unforgettable night of 90s rock, and it lived up to every expectation.
Soul Asylum
Kicking off the evening was Soul Asylum, who brought their signature alternative rock sound to the stage. Their performance was full of energy. They knew exactly how to engage with the crowd, creating a connection that made the night feel personal and electric. Hits like “Runaway Train” had the audience singing along, while deeper cuts highlighted the band’s musical depth.

Stone Temple Pilots
Next up was Stone Temple Pilots, who absolutely electrified the venue. From the moment they hit the stage, it was clear they were ready to deliver an unforgettable performance. Their interaction with the crowd was nothing short of amazing. Frontman Jeff Gutt engaged with the audience at every turn. It made the massive venue feel intimate and connected with Dean DeLeo’s guitar riffs, Robert DeLeo’s bass lines and Eric Kretz’s drumming.
The setlist was a well-curated mix of their greatest hits and some deeper tracks that thrilled die-hard fans. “Plush” and “Interstate Love Song” were, of course, the highlights, with the entire crowd singing along, but tracks like “Vasoline” and “Big Empty” brought a wave of energy that swept through the audience. The band’s energy was infectious, and they knew exactly how to play off the crowd. Every song was delivered with a level of passion that showed Stone Temple Pilots are still very much at the top of their game.
The interaction between the band members was just as engaging as their connection with the crowd. You could see the connection and the joy they took in performing together, which only showed with the energy in the venue. By the time they wrapped up their set, the audience was left amazed, perfectly primed for LIVE’s headlining performance. Stone Temple Pilots did not just warm up the crowd—they lit the place on fire and set the bar incredibly high for the rest of the night.

LIVE
When LIVE finally took the stage at Daily’s Place, there was much anticipation in the air, and they did not disappoint. From the first strum of the guitar, it was clear that the band was in top form, delivering a performance that reminded everyone why they have remained such an iconic force in rock music. Ed Kowalczy’s voice was as powerful as ever, cutting through the night with a mix of passion that few vocalists can match.
The setlist was balanced with fan favorites with deep cuts. The band opened with high-energy tracks that immediately pulled the audience in, and as the night went on they delivered one hit after another. “Lightning Crashes” was a particularly moving moment, with the entire crowd singing along, creating a chorus that filled the amphitheater with an almost spiritual energy. Songs like “I Alone” and “All Over You” had the crowd on their feet, with fists pumping and voices raised in unison.
As the night ended, LIVE delivered a blistering encore that left the audience exhilarated and satisfied. They reminded everyone that they are not just a band from the 90s. They are a band that continues to evolve and deliver unforgettable live experiences. In a night filled with incredible performances, LIVE proved once again that they are truly one of the best live acts in rock.
In Conclusion
For fans of 90s rock, this concert was a dream lineup, and every band delivered in spades. LIVE and Stone Temple Pilots proved once again why they both remain the best live acts in rock. Soul Asylum was the perfect opener to set the stage for an unforgettable night.
