Modest Mouse – St Augustine Amphiteatre
On April 21, 2018, Modest Mouse brought their 2018 US tour to St. Augustine Amphitheatre in St. Augustine, Florida. This is not the first time Modest Mouse has been to the St Augustine Amphiteatre, but every time they come here they bring a big following. This time around, they brought with them the New York alternative/indie group, Mass Gothic to start things off which were awesome. After Mass Gothic got things warmed up, Modest Mouse came on stage and really got the crowd going. Their band includes seven musicians versatile in many, many instruments, and they don’t miss a beat. Current members are: Isaac Brock on lead vocals, guitars, banjo, keyboards; Jeremiah Green on drums, percussion; Tom Peloso on upright bass, horns, keyboards, bass guitar, vocals, fiddle; Jim Fairchild on guitars, backup vocals, ukulele, pump organ, banjo; Russell Higbee on bass guitar, vocals, guitars, pump organ; Lisa Molinaro on viola, bass, vocals, keyboards; and Ben Massarella on percussion, effects.
From the beginning to the end, they put on a truly awesome show especially with there lighting, crowd participation, and overall performance. As this is the first time being at a Modest Mouse concert, I enjoyed myself and would definitely go again. The song list is listed below, but anyone who knows Modest Mouse knows that they will change it from time to time, or even from one day to the next day.
The song list for this concert was the following: Fire It Up, Cowboy Dan, Bury Me With It, Sugar Boats, Lampshades on Fire, Dramamine, Autumn Beds, King Rat, Dark Center of the Universe, Dashboard, The Tortoise and the Tourist, Grey Ice Water, Missed the Boat, Poison the Well and What People Are Made Of. Don’t forget the Encore, but you will need to go to find out whats in the Encore!!
