In 1994, comedy rock duo, Jack Black and Kyle Gass, founded Tenacious D in Los Angeles, California in 1994.

On May 13, 2023, Tenacious D came to St. Augustine, FL. to The St. Augustine Amphitheatre. I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. Jack Black and Kyle Gass were electrifying with their energy and enthusiasm. They sent the audience into a frenzy of excitement. Tenacious D delivered all of their classic hits with an added flair and even introduced their new song, Video Games which was equally as impressive. They also did their take on some older songs which included “Wicked Game” and “Good Times Bad Times”. A little more than halfway through the night, Kyle Gass decided to quit the band after Jack Black and he got into an argument, but of course, he came back later and finished the night. The entire crowd was completely swept up in the moment, singing along and having an absolute blast. The lighting and sound effects were expertly executed, enhancing the overall production and making it truly a sight to behold.

If you ever get the chance to see Tenacious D live, I highly recommend it – it’s an experience you will cherish for a long time to come.
