Beach Weather The Pineapple Sunrise Tour

On Friday, March 8, 2024, Milwaukee’s famous multi-level concert venue The Rave was beginning to fill up for an evening of concerts of all genres. Hoards of fans (myself included) were piling into the Eagle’s Club to see Beach Weather on their Pineapple Sunrise tour, with support from bands Rec Hall and Phoneboy

Rec Hall

Indie band Rec Hall consists of three lifelong friends from Southern California. Blending high energy with beachy melodies, Rec Hall radiated joy as they jumped around, interacting with the crowd and each other. The band was a perfect warm-up for the night of singing and dancing ahead! To catch them on tour and keep up with the band’s latest news, check out: www.rechallmusic.com

Phoneboy

Phoneboy is an American alternative/indie rock band hailing from New Jersey. The quartet of friends began playing gigs together at their college before putting out their debut album in 2021. The young audience got loud as soon as the group took the stage. With clever lyrics and infectious spirit, the crowd was primed and ready for Beach Weather take the stage. Beach Weather

American pop rock band Beach Weather formed back in 2015 by Nick Santino (former frontman of A Rocket to the Moon). Soon after getting together, Beach Weather began recording music with their single “Sex, Drugs, Etc.” in 2016, which rose to major popularity on Tik Tok in 2022. The group has shared the stage with Fall Out Boy and The Maine, and they’ve most recently toured with Canadian rock band The Beaches.

As Beach Weather walked onto the stage (clad in their effortless vintage style), every single member of the audience went wild. Nick Santino declared that the last time they’d been in Milwaukee they were playing Summerfest. He went on to say that they were thrilled to be in the city on their own headlining tour. As they performed, it was clear that Beach Weather has an ineffable stage presence which is part of why they are so beloved by their fans. One of the most notable moments of the headliner’s performance was when Chris (their Front Of House Engineer) busted out his saxophone and played it from the soundboard during “Goddess”.

Conclusion

Overall, the night at The Rave was a lively showcase of diverse musical talent. Firstly, Rec Hall brought infectious energy with their beachy melodies. Secondly, Phoneboy’s clever lyrics got the crowd pumped for the main event. Lastly, Beach Weather’s vintage style and undeniable stage presence truly stole the show, with memorable moments like Chris’s unexpected saxophone solo. It was a night filled with music, joy, and unforgettable performances.
