If you live in Chicago and haven’t had a chance to check out a show at House of Vans yet, you’re really missing out! The shows are free, there are always rad art installments and the venue space is perfect for a rowdy but intimate show! On July 8th we were lucky enough to catch Torres open up for Wolf Parade at House of Vans.

Torres was the second band to take the stage. They really brought it live. The entire band had an energy and enthusiasm that was infectious and fun to watch.

Wolf Parade took the stage and you’d think you were watching a full on punk band. I LOVE that kind of energetic surprise! Frontmen Spencer Krug and Dan Boeckner trade off singing throughout the set and never quit moving. Those Canadian rockers were on ten and no one in the crowd was mad about it!

I already can’t wait for the next event at House of Vans!
