On February 13, 2019, platinum selling, teen-aged rapper, Trippie Redd, performed at the sold out House of Blues in Chicago.  Also on the night’s line up were Lil Keed, Coi Leray and Lil Duke.  The Life’s a Trip Tour is in support of Trippie’s most recent album, A Love Letter To You 3,  which entered the Billboard Top 200 at number 3 on November 19 and held the title of the most streamed album in America.

On a cold Chicago, Wednesday evening, the House of Blues filled up quickly as the line of dedicated fans piled into the venue. They were greeted with the first opening act, Lil Duke.  Lil Duke warmed up the crowd getting them moving to his new single, “The One”. Following Lil Duke was 21 year old, Coi Leray who came out dancing and did not stop until her set was complete. At one point in the show, Coi Leray was even found running through the audience.  The crowd sang word for word to “Huddy”, off her most recent album, EC2. Lil Keed was the third act on the night. Lil Keed and his crew took over the stage shaking hands with fans and even jumping into the crowd multiple times. The hype built for Trippie Redd when Keed performed “Red Hot” his track that features Trippie Redd.

Finally, Trippie Redd exploded onto stage and was greeted by the sold out House of Blues singing along to his track “Dark Knight Dummo”. He captured the room by showing his musical abilities. Slowing down the tempo Trippie had the crowd singing along to “Love Scars 3” and “Taking A Walk”. He ended the show with my favorite and the crowd favorite by their reaction, “Topanga” sending all his fans home happy.

Trippie Redd’s Life’s a Trip Tour is not one you will be wanting to miss.  Keep up with all updates, latest information and tour dates on his socials, as well as the other artists:
