The Tour

On March 15th, Sam Hunt stopped in Milwaukee at Fiserv Forum on his 2024 Outskirts Tour. Lily Rose and Brett Young joined, guaranteeing a fun-filled night of country melodies!

Lily Rose

Georgia native Lily Rose rose to fame after her song “Villain” went viral on social media app TikTok. Described as groundbreaking by many, Lily Rose quickly made a name for herself. The artist told media outlets that she hoped her debut project Stronger Than I Am “would inspire others in the LGBTQ+ community”.

Wearing a Drink Wisconsinably shirt, Rose told the audience she was happy to be back in Milwaukee after opening for Shania Twain last year. She put on a powerful and engaging performance, preparing the crowd for Brett Young who was up next. Brett Young

Born and raised in California, Country-Pop artist Brett Young started writing songs after a college baseball injury sidelined him. After being inspired by Gavin DeGraw’s album Chariot, Young later returned to creating music. In the early and mid-aughts, Brett Young released a string of EPs and albums before moving to Nashville. He signed with Big Machine Label Group in 2015. Since that time, Brett Young has made his mark on the genre. His song “In Case You Didn’t Know” has been certified 5x platinum. Young also won the Country Music Award for New Male Vocalist of The Year in 2018.

Brett Young got the audience singing and dancing along as he started his set with high energy. He was smiling and interacting with his band as he moved about the stage in his custom #11 Bucks jersey with his name on the back. Intermixed with the upbeat, he sat down and sang some ballads, explaining his penchant for writing sad songs for their relatability. By the time Young left the stage, the audience was primed and ready for Sam Hunt. Sam Hunt

Country singer-songwriter Sam Hunt got his start in the music industry in the songwriting sector back in 2012 when he co-wrote Kenny Chesney’s song “Come Over”. While also writing songs for other renowned artists like Reba McEntire and Keith Urban, Hunt started working on music of his own too. In 2014, Sam Hunt signed a recording contract with MCA Nashville where he released his EP X2C. It debuted at #36 on the US Billboard 200 and #5 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Since then, Hunt has seen continued success with a variety of his hits making the Billboard charts and some even going platinum as a result. Most recently, Sam Hunt released the album Southside in 2020 and has toured the United States.

Sam Hunt came onto the stage to an arena full of screaming and cheering. With a large, energetic band backing him, he started with one of his first-ever released songs, “Raised On It”. With the crowd on their feet, Sam Hunt launched into “House Party”. He ran off of the stage and right into the audience, greeting and high-fiving every person he walked by before returning to the stage.

Later in the evening, Hunt made his way back through the crowd over to a secondary stage by the soundboard for a more intimate, acoustic portion of the evening. While sitting on a stool, he told the audience the story of his beginnings in the industry. He even told the audience the backstory for the song “Cop Car” that he wrote for Keith Urban and then went on to record for himself. Intermixing slower, emotional songs with upbeat hits, the crowd had an amazing time.
