On April 20, 2018, Chris Tomlin brought  “Worship Night in America” to  the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Jacksonville, Florida.  I have been to a couple of Chris Tomlin concerts before, but was never part of a “Worship Night in America” tour.  Going to his concert, I was expecting the same thing as he has done in all the past shows, where the opening band or bands come out and play and then he and his band would come out and play at the end, well I was wrong!!

From the very beginning, Chris was on the stage with Matt Maher, Kim Walker-Smith, Christine D’Clario, Tauren Wells, and Pat Barrett.  They started off with a powerful message being played by the late Billy Graham, which everyone loved and was touched and then they started to worship and kept it up throughout the night.  Starting the night off with “This is Amazing Grace” and “Gods Great Dance Floor” to “Lord I Need You” and everyone’s favorite “Good Good Father” which was written by Pat Barrett, but most people know it from Chris Tomlin.  They also had in there some Spanish music for everyone which was amazing.  Although most of the songs sang that night were very popular and everyone sang along with them, it was still nice to see most of the words on the screen so people knew what was being sung and could sing along.

If you are going to this concert, be ready for a night of powerful praise and worship since it is non stop right from the beginning!!
