LØLØ Brings ‘god forbid a girl goes on tour’ to Chicago’s Bottom Lounge

On September 23, 2026, LØLØ brought her “god forbid a girl goes on tour” headline run to Chicago’s Bottom Lounge. The show featured sets from Dawson Gamble and Caroline Romano before LØLØ closed out the night with a 19-song performance that included songs from her latest album, god forbid a girl spits out her feelings!.

It was a Wednesday all-ages show, so it started a little earlier, but was full of great music. The crowd was ready for the show and stayed engaged throughout the night, bringing plenty of energy to the room.

The Show

Dawson Gamble

Dawson Gamble and his band opened the show with a seven-song set that included songs like “I’ve Got The Bends,” “Your Ghost,” “Coming Back for My Life,” and closed out with “Dance with Me Darlin’.”

Getting to Chicago was an accomplishment in itself. The band’s van broke down while they were on the road, forcing them to rent another vehicle so they could make the show. Despite the travel problems, Gamble and the band arrived and got the night underway.

Caroline Romano

Caroline Romano followed with a set that included “Body Bag,” “Guts,” “Cruel and Unusual Punishment,” “Born to Want More,” and “girl in a china shop.” Romano also gave Chicago the live debut of “Overstimulated.” The song added something new to a set that already included a mix of material from her catalog. LØLØ Takes Over the Bottom Lounge

LØLØ opened her set with “the devil wears converse,” followed by “pretty little wreck” and “god forbid a girl spits out her feelings!” She moved through several songs from the new album, including “THE FLOOR IS LAVA!!,” “me with no shirt on,” “the punisher,” “2 of us,” and “u turn me on (but u give me depression).”

One of the more memorable moments came when LØLØ performed “Hey There Delilah,” the Plain White T’s song that has a long history with her. During the show, she explained that the connection started during the COVID-19 lockdown in Toronto, when she was making TikToks and decided to record a version of one of her favorite songs. Rather than singing it from the perspective of the original song, LØLØ rewrote it from Delilah’s point of view. The Plain White T’s eventually noticed her version. Six years later, they came back around and collaborated with her on a new version of “Hey There Delilah,” which was recently released. For the Chicago performance, LØLØ brought Dawson Gamble back to the stage to perform the song with her.

That wasn’t the only time an opener joined LØLØ. Caroline Romano returned later in the set for “delusional darling,” a song from LØLØ’s latest album that the two artists co-wrote. Those two appearances were a great touch. Rather than simply opening the show and disappearing for the night, both Gamble and Romano became part of LØLØ’s set.

LØLØ continued with “death wish,” “lonely & pathetic,” “junkie,” “DON’T!” and “dumbest girl in the world.” Before “lonely & pathetic,” she let the audience decide between that song and “hurt less,” turning the choice into a quick crowd vote of This or That.

The night ended with two encore songs. This first was a solo version of Robot, followed by the band rejoining her on stage for “Hot Girls in Hell” bringing LØLØ’s Chicago stop to a close.

Conclusion

For a Wednesday night show, the crowd made its presence known. LØLØ, Gamble, and Romano gave them plenty of reasons to stay engaged, and having both supporting artists return during the headliner’s set made the night feel more connected than a typical three-act bill.
