Kid Sistr Opens for The Wrecks at House of Blues Chicago 2026

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, Kid Sistr opened for The Wrecks at House of Blues Chicago, as part of the Finally : OUTSIDE Tour. The Los Angeles-based indie rock trio played an eight-song set before Chicago’s own Worry Club took the middle slot and The Wrecks closed the night.

Kid Sistr features Sabel Englert on guitar and vocals, Sara Keden on bass and vocals, and Becca Webster on drums and vocals. Although the trio is based in Los Angeles, its members are originally from New York. The band has continued to build its following through its own releases and performances alongside artists such as Willow, Carly Rae Jepsen and Chicago’s K. Flay.

The set opened with “X-Tape (Want to Want Me)” and continued with “Blow Up Toy” and “Little Sister Song.” Kid Sistr then brought “Shitshow” into the mix before playing “American Teenage Prophecy,” the title track from its latest EP.

The band recently released its single and music video for “Accelerator” on October 9. The song was also included in the Chicago set, along with “Delete Me” and “Maniac.” The eight-song performance gave fans a chance to hear material from the band’s growing catalog, including some of its newer releases.

Kid Sistr’s music combines indie rock with a youthful, alternative edge. Its recent releases, including “Shitshow,” “American Teenage Prophecy,” and “Accelerator,” offer a look at the direction the trio is taking as it continues to reach new audiences.

The Rest of the Night

Chicago’s Worry Club followed Kid Sistr before The Wrecks took the stage for their Finally : OUTSIDE Tour. The North American tour continues through October and November, bringing the band to venues across the continent.

Meeting Kid Sistr at the Merch Table

After Kid Sistr’s performance, I had a chance to meet the band at its merchandise table. The three posed for a quick group photo, and I picked up a CD of American Teenage Prophecy. Having all three members sign it made for a nice souvenir from the night.

Kid Sistr’s performance at House of Blues Chicago was a great opportunity to photograph the band and spend a little time getting to know the group after its set. With new music arriving and more shows ahead, I’ll be interested to see where the trio goes next.
