Diamante at Beat Kitchen in Chicago
On November 13, 2019, Kickstand Productions presented Diamante, along with supporting artist, Bullet to the Heart, at The Beat Kitchen in Chicago. After her teasing Chicago with her recent support on the Breaking Benjamin tour at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre on September 4th, the iridescent sapphire-haired rock n’ roller was back in Chicago for her first ever headline tour, the Blue Balls Holiday tour. The tour is in support of her debut album, Coming in Hot, which was released on June 15, 2018 via Better Noise Records/Eleven Seven Music.
Despite it being a Wednesday night of the workweek, the audience filled with fans who had driven hours to get there, as well as those who were in walking distance from the venue. Two fans drove about 140 miles from Bloomington, IL to catch the show. Many were wearing their Diamante merchandise and ready to rock the night away and Diamante did not disappoint. From the start of the show, the first song “Kind of Love” to the last song, “War Cry,” Diamante did not hold back. The set list covered most songs from Coming in Hot. She also included her first single from 2014, “Bite Your Kiss,” as well as the Bad Wolves duo, “Hear Me Cry.” At one point, Diamante asked if there were any Latino fans in the audience. Surprised that there were actually a few in the audience, she went into “Lo Siento” which is the Spanish variation of her hit single “I’m Sorry”. One other highlight of the night was a rock n’ roll medley, which included: “Iron Man” Black Sabbath cover, “Rock and Roll” Led Zeppelin cover and a couple others. Throughout the entire night, fans were singing and jumping with the band. On top of the amazing performance, Diamante took the time to do a meet and greet with everyone as they were leaving the venue.
If you are looking for a true rock and roll show, be sure to check out Diamante when she hits your area. To keep up with Diamante for the latest information and tour dates through her website at: thisisdiamante.com
