WinterJam 2020 – Jacksonville FL
For 2020 WinterJam, it started off awesome with the first stop in Jacksonville, FL. WinterJam had a great lineup for 2020 with artists such as Building 429, RED, Andy Mineo, Passion, Crowder, and more. I attended the past six years of WinterJam, which has been going on for 25 years. All of them have been great and this year didn’t disappoint at all.
The night started off with a pre-jam party while waiting for the crowd to come in from outside and that was started by a new rapper in Christian music named Zauntee. Zauntee did about four songs and then he was done, but for sure he will definitely becoming well known someday. After Zauntee came another new singer Ballenger. Ballenger started in the Christian music just recently after him and his wife served several years in the prison system. In prison is where they found the Lord and decided there to serve Him when they got out of prison. Ballenger has an amazing voice and put on a pretty good show. The last of the Pre-jam party events was an amazing vocalist named Riley Clemmons. Clemmons is the most popular of the pre-jam party lineup and has toured with Danny Gokey and Taurin Wells in the past. You will definitely want to see her if you haven’t had the chance yet.
After the Pre-jam party the night started off with Austin French who sang his most top songs including Born Again and Why God? After Austin French, RED took the stage and definitely rocked the house singing older songs such as “Breathe Into Me” to some of their new songs. Once RED was over Newsong came on as they do every year and sang their most famous song “Arise My Love.” After Newsong came everyone’s favorite rapper, Andy Mineo. Andy has been around for several years and this is his second time on WinterJam and played many of his more popular songs such as You Can’t Stop Me to his more recent songs such as Shame. During one of his songs he came out into the crowd and danced with some of the kids and then went running through the crowd. After Mineo the pastor of Passion Church up in Atlanta preached to the crowd for a while and when he was finished Passion came on the stage and sang worship music. After Passion JJ Weeks sang a song and talked about HOLT International and talked about who he supports and why he supports HOLT International and to find more information on HOLT go to https://www.holtinternational.org/ . After JJ Weeks Building 429 came on and put on an amazing show singing We Won’t Be Shaken and Where I Belong. Finally, Crowder came out to finish the night off. Crowder put on a great show and the crowd really got into it and was singing every song with him. Crowder sang many songs such as Come As You Are and Red Letters, he also sang my favorite song I Know A Ghost.
All together, this was one of the best lineups that WinterJam has put on and it was definitely worth attending. You can go and stand in line and pay the same as everyone else to get in or you can become a member of Jam Nation and pay a little extra and get in before everyone else and get premium seating and in my opinion, it is worth the upgrade.
