On Tuesday March 27th, Justin Timberlake performed the first of two ‘The Man of The Woods’ tour dates at the United Center in Chicago. The Grammy Award winner is touring in support of his 5th studio album with support of his full band, The Tennessee Kids.  The opening band is Shadowboxers, who are from Atlanta, Georgia and previously toured for two years with the Indigo Girls.

Justin took the impressively winding stage at 9pm with a full laser, light, and projection show. Opening the night with the lead single, “Filthy”, off his new album, the set also included such hits as “SexyBack”, “Suit & Tie”, and “What Goes Around….Comes Around.” Other highlights include various covers of “Dreams” (Fleetwood Mac cover), “Come Together” (The Beatles cover) as well as “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” (John Denver cover). Also, he paid tribute to his Tennessee roots when he slowed the show down, sat with his band and dancers around a campfire on stage and played his acoustic guitar for a couple songs. The last song of the night, was mega-hit, “Can’t Stop The Feeling.”

Mr. Timberlake has been an entertainer for nearly his whole life: starting as a child actor and singer on the Mickey Mouse Club, later as a teenager a popular member of the boy band, N’SYNC, and finally as a solo artist who still finds time to act on occasion. Popular appearances include 5 times on Saturday Night Live, guesting on songs with Lonely Island and too many to count appearances on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
