Rage Against the Machine Chicago 2022

Rage Against the Machine Public Service Announcement Tour

Rage Against the Machine returned at a time when we needed them the most. In a time when their message is almost more relevant than ever. The Public Service Announcement Tour will bring their message to 51 shows hitting 40 cities in 12 countries. Support the tour is Run the Jewels.

On July 11th and 12th, United Center was the home for Rage Against the Machine in Chicago. Chicago being only the bands 2nd and 3rd show back the stakes were high and fans were excited. Sadly on night 1 of their Chicago stay frontman Zack de la Rocha have an unfortunate landing and injured his leg resulting in his sitting the rest of the show. Thankfully though the show kicked off with Zack being carried onto stage before telling the crowd that there was no way he planned on not doing this show. From there the band gave fans 90 minutes of pure energy and love. Changing the setlist from previous nights the band dropped “Vietnow” and the rare “No Shelter”.

Aging like fine wine, Zack along with Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk were happy to be back on stage. Sharing smiles, hugs, and making sure Zack was okay the band was just as happy as the fans to be there. Through the band, Zack remained seated, but kept the energy going as if he wasn’t. Hopefully this isn’t the last time the band graces Chicago though without a long pause happening.
