Three Days Grace EXPLOSIONS Tour

On July 23, 2022, Three Days Grace, along with Wage War and Zero 9:36 were ready to rock Green Bay at Capital Credit Union Park. The show kicked off National Event Promotions first stadium show of the year at the home of the Green Bay Rockers. However, Mother Nature made a change in the schedule. The stormy weather caused opener, Zero 9:36 to cut the set short. However, metalcore band, Wage War’s stage set completely cut. As a result of the stormy weather, the outdoor stadium was evacuated. After evacuating the outdoor sta The weather cleared up

Zero 9:36 and the Evacuation

First up was Zero 9:36. Although the setlist included approximate one dozen songs, the set was cut short after only playing 5 songs. At that point, the stadium was evacuated. The rain absolutely down-poured with very heavy winds at some points, along plenty of lightning and thunder to add to the excitement. The storm blew through fairly quickly. Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes after the evacuation, the audience was let back in the stadium.

Unfortunately, it appeared that Zero 9:36 and Wage War’s gear was soaked. Not only were their sets cut because of the time, they may not have working gear. Hopefully, that wasn’t the case.

Three Days Grace

After waiting through the storm, it was time for the stadium to rock! Canadian band, Three Days Grace was more than ready to do the job. Formed in Norwood, Ontario in 1997, Three Days Grace have released seven studio albums.  The current tour is in support of the seventh album, Explosions, was released on May 6, 2022 via RCA Records.

The first song performed, “So Called Life”, coincidentally is the lead song off Explosions and set the high energy for the night. Although the tour is in support of the new album, Explosions, the setlist included a mix of new and old favorites. Highlights of the night included:

  • The two song acoustic set which included: The High Road and World So Cold
  • Last song of the main set, “I Hate Everything About You”
  • Encore songs: “Never Too Late” and “Riot”

Wage War

After Three Days Grace’s completed their explosive rock performance, Wage the wage treated the fans who stuck around to an impromptu acoustic set by Wage Way. The band set up at the concourse near the main entrance. The short set included five songs: “Godspeed,” “Prison,” “Gravity,” “Johnny Cash” and “Circle the Drain”.

From Wage War’s Tik Tok page, “We know a lot of WW fans travel far to come see us. Sadly, we weren’t able to play our show as planned in Green Bay due to a storm that was rolling through. Luckily, the skies ended up clearing after a few hours so we invited our fans to an impromptu acoustic set instead!”

Conclusion

Despite Mother Nature doing what she could to dampen the night, rock and roll prevailed. In the end, this will be a show that these fans never forget.
