Summerfest 2025: Weekend 2 Recap – Second Weekend
57th Summerfest 2025 Weekend 2
June 26–28 | Milwaukee, WI
Weekend two at Summerfest 2025 picked up right where the first weekend left off, but with a little more weight behind it. The crowds felt bigger. The stages filled earlier. And the lineup leaned into both established names and artists on the rise. Over two days, I moved across the grounds and caught 31 performances, along with everything happening in between.
Summerfest 2025 Headliners: Weekend 2
2025 American Family Insurance Amphitheater Headliners
Although a separate ticket is required for the headliners of the American Family Insurance Amphitheater, the artists are always a big draw for Summerfest. For Summerfest 2025 Weekend 2, the headliners included:
For Weekend 2, the Amphitheater lineup brought a mix of country, alternative, and hip-hop:
- 6/26: Lainey Wilson (with Lukas Nelson & Shane Smith & The Saints)
- 6/27: The Killers (with Cold War Kids)
- 6/28: Megan Thee Stallion (with Flo Milli)
🎸 Day 1 – June 26: From Early Sets to Late Night Staples
Thursday covered a lot of ground. The day started early and didn’t slow down. Violet Wilder and Scout Speer set the tone, while Freddy Jones Band and Circa 79 brought a steady groove to the afternoon.
Along the way, the variety stood out. Mike Skill Romantics and Wildered added different textures, while Cowboy Mouth delivered one of the more animated sets of the day. Emily Grunfelder and Tiera Kennedy each pulled in attentive crowds, even during the busier afternoon hours.
Later on, the schedule tightened. The Summer Set and Allison Russell brought strong, focused performances, while The Producers and The Chameleons leaned into experience and sound that still connects. As the evening rolled in, Sophia Camara, The Maine, and The Avett Brothers carried the night forward with packed viewing areas.
Between sets, the grounds stayed active. The Milwaukee Flyers BMX crew drew crowds, and the parade made its way through as expected. It felt like a full Summerfest day, not just a run of shows.
🎸 Day 2 – June 27: Big Names and Tight Sets
Friday shifted gears. The lineup was smaller, but the pacing felt tighter. Bad Skin and Showoff opened things up, followed by Torres and Isabel Dumaa, who each held steady crowds early.
As the day moved on, the energy built. Return to Dust and Plain White T’s pulled in familiar fans, while Yves Jarvis and Local H offered contrast in both style and delivery. It made for a balanced run across stages without much overlap in sound.
The night closed with Cake and Billy Corgan and the Machines of God. Both sets felt deliberate. No rush, no wasted moments, just artists doing what they’ve done for years.

A few sets stood out over the weekend. Instead of squeezing them into a single frame, I broke them out into full galleries.
