On October 17, 2020, Fitz and the Tantrums, returned to Lakeshore Drive-In in Chicago for a social distant concert.  The show was in support of their 2019 release All the Feels.  In addition, two week prior to the show, the Fitz and the Tantrums: Live In Chicago was released via Dangerbird Records giving fans two weeks to pre-show with live music.  The live album was recorded over two sold-out nights at The Metro in 2011. The live album was released to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the debut album, Pickin’ Up the Pieces. 

Although the night lived up to Chicago’s nickname, Windy City, plenty of cars were filled with family and friends to enjoy live music once more. The set list included a mixture of classic Fitz and the Tantrums songs, as well as a handful of songs from their newest release. Highlights of the show included:

• Releases from the 2019 release All the Feels such as: “123456”, “I Just Wanna Shine”, “All the Feels”
• Many fan favorites had the audience singing from the start to the end: “Get Right Back”, “Out of My League”, “Moneygrabber”, “Hands Up”
•  The encore had everyone dancing and clapping with a three fan favorites: “HandClap”, “All the Feels” and “The Walker”

For many fans, this was their experience to an in-person live performance this year.  Lakeshore Drive-In created a space for music fans to get back to enjoying live entertainment safely and professionally.  It was definitely something they needed, and Fitz and the Tantrums filled a void that we were missing for many months in 2020.
