On December 3rd 2021 at St. Augustine Amphitheatre “The Amp,” Modsun, along with headline artist Bastille, performed as part of the “Next Big Thing” showcase hosted by X106.5 Jacksonville.

Modsun has been on tour most of this year in support of his 2021 album “Internet Killed The Rockstar.” The album includes a song called “Flames” featuring his current girlfriend, pop-punk princess Avril Lavigne, who has been popping up at random shows performing the song with him. Unfortunately, tonight was not one of those nights. His latest single “Down” is out now and features Blink 182’s drummer Travis Barker. Modsun was previously the drummer for Scary Kids Scaring Kids and has released four solo studio albums.

Modsun provided the punk energy and warmed up the crowd on a brisk Florida winter night in the beautiful open air venue. He played a full electric set that included “Bones” which he mentioned was his favorite track from his album. He also performed “Flames,” “Down,” and “Stay Away” that features Machine Gun Kelly & Goody Grace. His outfit, his antics and his stage presence was so much fun, he got the crowd involved often. His vocals are worth mentioning too, strong and wraspy, awesome to hear live.

With only one more show announced for this year, the next batch of tour dates is a Canadian tour that starts in May 2022 opening for Avril Lavigne. You can check out his music on all platforms and follow him on Instagram @modsun or check out the official Mod Sun website at: www.modsunmusic.com
