The Happy Fits at Summerfest in Milwaukee 2022

On July 7, 2022, the lively New Jersey alt-indie-pop trio, The Happy Fits, hit the Johnson Controls World Stage at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI. The band includes Calvin Langman, Ross Monteith, and Luke Davis. Dating back to their bonding in high school in 2012, cellist Calvin Langman and guitarist Ross Monteith started playing covers together in earnest. When Langman revealed some original songs he’d been working on, drummer Luke Davis came aboard to join in a creative genesis that would result in the Awfully Apeelin’ EP from 2016.

After an overwhelming turnout at Napa’s BottleRock Festival, The Happy Fits headed to Milwaukee for Summerfest before trotting across the pond to Europe and the UK this fall. Summerfest may not have anticipated the following that The Happy Fits would draw for their performance. With the audience flowing out from the Johnson Controls World Stage, it may have fit to perform at the U.S. Cellular Connection Stage or the Uline Warehouse Stage instead. In the end, the fans were not phased as they sang and danced with the band from the very first note.

Recently, the Happy Fits recent announcement of the band’s forthcoming third studio album, Under The Shade of Green, which is due out August 26, 2022. The trio will kick off a lengthy full-length tour through November and half of December stretching from the East, to West, and Southern U.S. Beginning in Burlington, VT on November 8th, the band will head through the Midwest with a Chicago stop on November 19th, then across the West including three dates in California, and South including three dates in Texas, before concluding in Philadelphia, PA on December 18.
