Get Local Beverly – Get Local Sessions Ep 07: South City Revival

Chicago’s Beverly area nonprofit organization, Get Local Beverly, cultivates live music experience that connect the community. They host a weekly live stream on both their Facebook and Instagram accounts called, “Get Local Sessions.”

On Thursday evening, July 2, 2020, Episode 07 featured South City Revival. In 2016, fate brought Southside musicians Joe Pacelli (vocals/acoustic guitar), John Quinn (electric guitar), Mike Fitzgerald (bass), Jose “Pino” Perez (drums), and Brendan Linnane (guitar/pedal steel) together in a Western Ave. bar parking lot on a cold and snowy night. Although some of their musical journeys had crossed paths before, after discussing influences and ambitions, they agreed the path forward was together. South City Revival released first full length album on May 8, 2020 called, “Where There’s Smoke, There’s Fire”.

The live stream was a trimmed down version of South City Revival with an acoustic set featuring Joe Pacelli and John Quinn. If you missed the South City Revival live stream via Get Local Beverly, be sure to check it out at:
