Back in mid-January 2023, Florida hard rock quintet, Wage War, announced their Spring 2023 tour plans. The band embarked on The Manic 2023 headline tour, with support from nothing, nowhere. and Spite. The tour kicked off on April 11 in the band’s native Florida and runs through May 20 in Atlanta. Currently, the band consists of: Briton Bond on lead vocal; Cody Quistad on rhythm guitar and clean vocals; Seth Blake on lead guitar; Chris Gaylord on bass; and Stephen Kluesener on drums.

On May 2, 2023, The Manic Tour stopped at EPIC Event Center in Greenbay, WI where Front Row Music News caught the show.

Openers

Wage War brought out Spite and nothing, nowhere. to open up the show. Both bands brought all of their energy on stage to warm up the eager crowd.

Spite was first up. They are a hardcore band out of the Bay Area of California, Spite. Spite have four albums with the most recent, Dedication to Flesh release on August 19, 2022 via Rise Records.

Next up, was singer, rapper, and songwriter, Joseph Mulherin, better know by his stage name, nothing, nowhere. Recently, nothing, nowhere., released the fifth album, Void Eternal, on March 31, 2023 via Fueled by Ramen.

Wage War

With the crowd thoroughly pumped up by Spite and Nothing, it was time for the band everyone was waiting for, Wage War. With the stage lights down, the large screen began showing a video of a sound waves and a very eerie voice, along with phases on the screen. As the band came out on the stage, the audience cheered loudly with excitement. Many with their hand horns in the air.

The show started out with “Relapse” off their 2021 release, Manic. Throughout the night, the band mixed up the set list playing songs off all of their albums. One of their heaviest tracks was “The River” from Blueprints which was released in 2015. Also, they played an acoustic version of “Johnny Cash” referencing their most recent 2022 album, The Stripped Down Sessions. There was sure to be some songs of every fans’ favorites played tonight!

Later in the set, lead vocalist, Briton Bond, reminded the crowd that no matter one’s beliefs, skin color, or cultural practices, that we all have to stand together and look out for each other. There was plenty of looking out for others to be seen in the circling mosh pit that rotated during the entire show.

The night closed out with the tour and 2021 album title song, Manic.
